Following the outbreak of COVID-19, and the persistence of longer term challenges surrounding declining high street footfalls & the rise of digital retail, the company restructured its debt in November 2020. The restructuring saw New Look delever its balance sheet, strengthen its liquidity position, and obtain new investment. The existing Senior Secured Notes were swapped for equity, and the company obtained £42m of new investment in the form of 'New Money Notes'.
